Weekend Ramblings...
This morning my alarm went off at 8:00am. I know, not exactly dawn but my body still protested. I wondered to myself...Why can't the weekend consist of seven days? Why does it go so fast?
I went in to the shop and with the length of the weekend still in mind, I asked my minions (dear staff) the same question. Needless to say, they really had no response.
Not surprising.
Perhaps if the weekend lasted seven days it wouldn't be so enjoyable. N'est pas? Perhaps a week of only two days would prove tedious and lacking in essence. This is what I told myself. Really...I tried to convince myself.
Still to no avail...I wish the weekend consisted of a whole week.
These silly ramblings have been brought to you by the lady of Harmonie House, who is sorely lacking in blog material this evening.
I guess I just wanted to say hi...glad to see you all again after this lovely, yet too short weekend. Hugs and kisses all around!!
xoxoxo!

I absolutely love that you took a photo of the linden tree, from underneath while you're lying down looking at it above. That's precious.
ReplyDeleteHmm... weekends... I don't get a 2-day weekend during the school year, I get one day. But... I shouldn't complain, because summer is right around the corner, and then I get a 3-month weekend. :-)
Hi Spunky Girl!
ReplyDeleteI loved that post.....aren't ramblings a GOOD thing??? :-) You have a way with words that I wish I had!
Thanks for coming and for your lovely comments. I'll tell 'ya.........you blog gals are just the best. You don't even know how much joy you've brought to my life.
Hugs,
Spencer
Thank you so much for stopping and leave your sweet comment!
ReplyDeleteI really, really appreciate your interest!
Today I'm feeling better!
Hugs
Federica
I do agree that weekends should be longer, more time to enjoy the important parts of life.
ReplyDeleteI would love to give you a little present, if you like, at my blog. These little awards can be fun but some don't care for them, so I always let everyone know that I consider it optional.
Have a very lovely day,
Judy
-smile- A sweet little post. Sometimes, the sweetest, are those which are the seemingly not so inspired ones. The ones which are just quickly typed up and sent off into Cyber. Like you said... Just to say Hello. :-)
ReplyDeleteBut your topic, may contain one of the questions of the Ages, never the less. Isn't this an example of, we always want what we don't have? Or of, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence? :-)
And no my Dear, your blog doesn't take ages to load. Does mine?????? Here I was, spouting off about long-loading blogs, where it's nigh on to impossible to comment. Certainly hope mine isn't thus!
Gentle hugs,
Aunt Amelia
Missive Maven,
ReplyDeleteI do love that tree...even if it does make a mess when it "sheds". The shade it affords is divine.
I must say, teachers have the best vacations! Talk about long weekends!
Hi Spencer,
You are right, ramblings are a good thing. I must add that you have a way with words. I always enjoy coming by and reading your blog. You write beautifully my dear. We are a fortunate bunch to have such wonderful blog friends...you and all the others have made my stay here so lovely.
Federica,
So glad you are feeling better. Glad you stopped by for a bit. Always good to see you!
Judy,
You are such a dear. Thank you for honoring me with an award. Even though I do not really do the award thing, I am so appreciative of being thought of. You have quite the lovely and inspiring blog. Truly it's special!
Aunt Amelia,
Yes there is always the ever present wonder of the grass being greener on the other side. Though I must admit, I prefer my own grass. ;)
I'm relieved to know that my blog is a fast loader.....does that even make sense? LOL. Never mind. So happy to hear from you always!
Hugs Galore to you all my dahlings! xoxo
Sandra
I too just wanted to say hello, hope this finds you in better spirits my friend, all the best till next time, Chrissy
ReplyDeleteMiss Sandra,
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun and lovely post. Your spot under the linden tree is delightful-I wouldn't want to go back to work after a sunny afternoon under that tree either:) On Monday morning I sat on the front porch with tea and breakfast and enjoyed the splendor that surrounded me and I thought-wouldn't it be nice if I could do this everyday? Alas, I fear I might not enjoy these special moments as much if they were a daily thing (but I wouldn't mind making the effort-lol). Anyway, I agree that it would be nice to take the time to enjoy the simple pleasures of life on our own time clock instead of the work clock that drives us each day:)
Blessings,
Kim
Chrissy,
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by to say hello. I am indeed in better spirits..so sweet of you to care. How can I not be in better spirits with such wonderful blog friends stopping by?
You are a dear!
Kim,
How lovely to have breakfast..and tea on your very own front porch. That is a delight not many of us have. I'll just consider my small back yard/garden as my porch. How's that?
Indeed it would be absolutely wonderful if one could have that pleasure every single morning, and afternoon, and evening too!! But alas, you are right..even moments like that on a daily basis might not be as enjoyable as when we anticipate them after a week of toil in the everyday hustle and bustle of life. So glad you stopped by!
Warm hugs to you both!! xoxoxo!
